WHO ARE WE
HLS Retirement Consulting, LLC is a firm dedicated to partnering with financial, tax, and legal professionals to build client solutions using advanced planning techniques that are as unique as your client.
With a focus on holistic planning, Heather Schreiber, RICP®, prides herself in her ability to customize potential solutions to meet the needs of each client as well as her ability to turn complex strategies into easy-to-understand terms. In her 28th year in the industry, Heather has worked among the finest organizations including Franklin Templeton Group of Funds, AXA Advisors, SunTrust Bank and some of the largest field marketing organizations in the country.
She is frequently asked to speak at industry events, on radio, TV programs, or webinars and is frequently quoted in USA Today, Forbes, MarketWatch and other financial publications including Ed Slott's IRA Advisor and Retirement Daily. Heather is also the creator of Social Security Advisor, a monthly newsletter designed to provide financial professionals and consumers critical information on this important income source.
She is an instructor for Surgent McCoy CPE and CPA Academy, an educational partner of National Association of Fixed Annuities (NAFA) and is a panelist on the All Star Tax Series sponsored by Edward Jones. She is a sought after keynote speaker on the topic of Social Security and other retirement-related topics.
Heather’s breadth of knowledge extends far beyond Social Security planning and includes retirement income distribution strategies, charitable giving, the rules that govern qualified plans and IRAs, multi-generational planning, tax mitigation techniques, and IRS reporting issues.
Heather’s enthusiasm for her craft and those with whom she partners extends beyond the knowledge that she has gained through a career dedicated to helping financial professionals create retirement income solutions for their clients; she is the consummate educator and loves to teach financial, tax, and legal professionals as well as their strategic partners new strategies to help their clients move into an informed retirement with a greater sense of confidence. She has often been told that her quick wit and engaging teaching style make learning fun!
Heather truly has a passion for serving others and believes that connecting her work to God’s Word is paramount to anything else. She is committed to providing advice that is based upon integrity in her practice, compassion for the advisors with whom she partners as well as the clients that they serve, and a commitment to impartiality in her design.
Heather resides in Woodstock, Georgia and is married to Eric and is also the proud mom of two athletic man boys, one who is college-bound in the fall (the struggle is REAL). She is also blessed to have two beautiful bonus daughters who gratefully help her balance out the family testosterone. In her spare time, Heather relishes every moment with her family, especially as the kids continue to fly the coop, spend time with lifelong friends, commune with nature in any and every way possible, and unapologetically spoils the family's four pets - Duke, Denali, JT, and Charley. Heather and her family are members of Woodstock City Church and Heather is long time supporter of Goshen Valley Boys Ranch and Compassion International.
"When it comes to Social Security and Medicare planning, Heather Schreiber is the speaker you want. Heather presented at our financial advisor program (Ed Slott’s Elite IRA Advisor Group) to rave reviews from some of the most highly educated and knowledgeable financial planners and tax advisors in the country. These are seasoned advisors – a tough audience - who are not easily impressed and often challenge our speakers with high-level questions. Heather dominated the discussion. Her confidence and knowledge level had our advisors trying to keep up! They loved her presentation style and were impressed with Heather’s vast knowledge of this critically important topic."
